Bacchanale is a professional ensemble, consisting mainly of string players and singers. Its aim is, by giving concerts at many varied venues, to add to the understanding and enjoyment of music of all sorts, but especially classical music, and especially amongst the young in the Taunton area. It emphasises that great music can be both beautiful, and also great fun.

It has a loyal band of Patrons who assist in meeting the considerable costs involved, by their generous support.
