Somerset Opera was founded by Brian Cresswell in 1974. Since then we have performed over 200 operas, operettas, musicals, revues and oratorios throughout Somerset and beyond.
We rehearse in Archbishop Cranmer’s School in Taunton on Mondays, with further rehearsal nights nearer production, and are always looking for new members who can sing/sew/paint scenery to swell our enthusiastic ranks of 140 members and friends.
