Somerset Rural Music School
SRMS was founded in 1974 by its former Director, Brian Cresswell, who has since retired. It aims to provide a relaxed, informal and caring setting in which a range of instrumental lessons can take place, such as wind, brass, guitar, keyboard and drums. These are supported by Aural, Theory and Ensemble activities as well other enriching activities in recorder, street dance, junior music and art. The school meets on Saturday mornings at Heathfield Community School, Monkton Heathfield, Taunton from 9.00 to midday, by kind permission of the Headmaster and Governors.
