Taunton Suzuki Group
The Suzuki Group gave its first performance in the new Brewhouse Theatre in 1977. It continues to give annual concerts there. Regular tuition on violin (and viola), in a combination of individual and group lessons, is given. Suzuki tuition is available to all, there are no auditions for beginners. Tuition can start from as early as age 4. Concerts both small and big are given frequently and considerable sums have been raised for charities. Many former pupils now play professionally in well-known orchestras, including at Stratford and on TV, whilst others are teaching.
